It was a challenging design as I had to balance the architecture, which had a slight country feel with the use of exposed roof trusses, with the client's love for contemporary design. Being 100% truly South African from the design, hand silkscreen printing and manufacturing of décor items in local factories. This ornately illustrated fabric details the variety found within the metropolis and spans the gamut from typical street scenes to iconic architecture, like the Ponti building, Nelson Mandela Bridge, the War Memorial, Soweto cooling towers, Soccer City in Soweto and parks like Zoo-Lake.
